So it was pancake night. And I've down a Nalgene bottle full of water so I'm hydrated too! I wasn't sure how long I was going to run tomorrow. On the way home, 5 miles sounded like a good number and a good challenge. I haven't hit 5 or 6 miles in a while and I better start making that a consistent weekly run.
If I were super tech savvy I would somehow screenshot my planned training schedule but I've decided old school is best. I have printed calender sheets thru December and have penciled in 2 different training plans. If I'm having a good week, I'll aim for the more challenging schedule. If I'm having a busy/crummy week, I can hit the lighter schedule.
Weekly schedule looks like this...
Sunday - long run day, increasing from 5 miles to 14 miles
Monday - REST day!! Or very light exercise day - walks with Brink or 10 minute jog
Tuesday - 2 mile run or cross-training like swimming or biking
Wednesday - 30-45 minute run or 3-6 miles depending on how I'm feeling
Thursday - Cross-training
Friday - 30-45 minute run or 3-4 miles
Saturday - REST day!!!
On paper it looks doable and not so daunting as the Team in Training schedule I used for my first half marathon. It was mostly based on time. So the longest time on the schedule was 2 hours and 40 minutes. And while 14 miles will likely take me that long, 14 miles seems more doable in my head than 2 hours and 40 minutes of running.
Anywho... so that's rolling around in my head. As are a zillion thoughts about photography and how to get better and get paid. I'll likely have a rambling post about that sometime this weekend.
For now, I leave you with this...
