Wednesday Bits

I was going to do Tuesday Tidbits yesterday when I got home but I was too tired.  It seems like it's been forever since I did any blogging.  I'm not sure where to start or what to even write so I guess I'll just ramble my way through.

Last week was a good one for running.  I fit in 14.5 miles!  I've yet to run this week and don't think I'll really get to it until tomorrow.  I have been taking Brinkley on long walks though so I haven't been a complete bum.

Brinkley lost 5lbs!!  Woohoo!  We stopped at the vet's office on the way home last night and he came in at 71lbs.  We still have a few more to go but I'd say that's pretty good progress.  He certainly has some flabby skin these days!  Hopefully once that shrinks down to fit him again, he'll be down a few more pounds.

Brink turned 5 last week.  FIVE!  I usually do a birthday post for him but I never got around to it.  We did celebrate though!  He got a new collar and a special cookie from Wagz.  We also found some super small treats to fit in his one little soccer ball he kicks around.  Victory!

Brink's still on his homemade diet and everything seems to be going well.  Last week he had a beef and rice mixture and this week we're back to chicken and rice.  I've also got a chicken and quinoa mixture in freezer.  Tonight or tomorrow night I'm going to make up another beef one so that I'm set for a while.  A while being maybe two weeks.  He's also tried some cottage cheese as a snack, which he loved!  His ears are clear and not even slightly pink and irritated!

Other randomness... Brink and I are ready for Brent to come home.  One more day!!  I'm sure we'll manage to find some fun when he's home!!  Maybe some hiking and camping!

I'm going to head to bed now.  It was kind of lightning out when I got home so Brink and I didn't get an evening walk in.  We'll have to be sure to get one in the morning.

One more little piece of randomness.  Awesome randomness.  My friend Heidi had her baby girl on Tuesday and I had the pleasure of meeting little Victoria in the hours after she was born.  She is the cutest little baby girl I've ever had the pleasure of holding!!  I look forward to watching her grow up!  Heidi and her husband Jason are going to be fantastic parents!!  Victoria's one lucky little girl!

Good night, all!!
