As ordered, I ran my three miles today. I had to wait until about 7 to get started so that I wouldn't overheat. Brinkley was incredibly confused when I left him behind. He did his usual pre-run dance while I got ready to go. The look on his face as I closed the door was like a knife through the heart. No, I'm not being overly dramatic. He looked confused, betrayed, and desperate all in one look! Ok, maybe I was just projecting my own feelings on him. It really sucks to leave him behind. I feel like I'm letting him down.
I assured him that I would be back soon and told him we would go for a walk when I got back. My run went really well. The only annoying part was the smell in the air. I'm not sure what is in full bloom at the moment but it's potent!! By the end of the run my allergies were really starting to bug me.
As promised, Brink and I then went for a short walk for my cool down. I think it was enough to satisfy him. We'll go for a longer one in the morning!!
Hi Angeline! Nice work on the 4 mile run today - it was a hot one here! Are you running Bolder Boulder? I am - and I use running as a loose term in this case. If it was a 5k I would be set. I see that we run at about the exact same pace! Have a great rest of the week!
